Halloween is a 1978 American slasher film directed and scored by Bowling Green, Kentucky native John Carpenter! Make it dinner and a movie and grab dinner before the movie starts at the neighbor and cohost The Gambling Stick Barbecue & Catering. Each movie will start around 7PM. Each movie is free and they will provide free popcorn. PLEASE make sure you bring your favorite chair, blanket, or pillow and a beverage of choice. From Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage: Explore the haunted side of history during our Hermitage Ghost Tours! Follow your guide on an exciting ghost tour as they take you on a lantern-led voyage into The Hermitage mansion and to Jackson’s tomb while telling spooky stories about Battle of New Orleans, Andrew Jackson and the Bell Witch. Ghost Tours run from Now through November 9th at 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm. Please arrive early as tours will start right on time and we don’t want any souls left behind. Tickets are $35 and $30 for members.

Because Psycho was filmed with tact, grace, and art, Hitchcock didn’t just create modern horror, he validated it. Meet Dr. Kurt Swauger of Swauger Pediatric

Upon receiving his degree in marketing from Auburn University (Go Tigers), Dr. Swauger went to work for Johnson & Johnson. After 5 years in pharmaceutical sales, he decided to return to school & pursue a doctorate degree. Dr. Swauger graduated from UT Memphis Dental School in 2001 and finished his pediatric residency in San Antonio, TX. It was in San Antonio that he met his future wife and son, Elsie and Justin. Ten years ago Dr. Swauger and Elsie adopted 3 children from Ethiopia -Karina, Kelsie, and Zachary. In his free time, Dr. Swauger enjoys scuba diving, running, and working out. Interesting fact: he has been to 114 Jimmy Buffett shows (can you say Parrothead?!?!) He is a die-hard Nashville Predators fan and has had season tickets for several years! Dr. Swauger is known for his magic tricks and goofing around with his patients. He will dance, sing, and give hugs – anything to bring a smile to our patients’ faces! He takes pride in his practice and LOVES his job. All of us at SPD enjoy working with Dr. Swauger! We feel pretty lucky that he has created a work environment that is so fun and caring!”
