Rotier’s Restaurant, Nashville’s Home for the Famous French Bread Hamburger!

0

One thing we did when we started Nashville Buy Local is give much love to the new kids doing their thing in Nashville. Well, that was a mistake because there are some strong landmarks that we need to shower with love. Rotier’s Restaurant is one of those. Again, we’d rather they tell their story so:

Rotier’s has been serving cold beer, burgers, and handmade milkshakes since 1945. John and Evelyn Rotier started the restaurant after WWII, the building was originally a carriage house for the Elliston Mansion. Rotier’s started as a beer joint with cheeseburgers and pinball machines, and later evolved into a full scale restaurant soon after gambling became illegal in Tennessee. The meat and three menu came along, or “meat and vegetables” if you are not from Tennessee, so patrons could choose from several different home cooked meals. John and Evelyn had three children: John, Margaret, and Charlie Rotier, who all worked in the restaurant.

We have been a Nashville landmark for many years and continue on with third generation family members to this day. The Cheeseburger on French Bread is Rotier’s claim to fame, winning many local and national awards from USA Today and Food Network Magazine.

We always need to make sure we are supporting our local diners. They are the backbone to the community. See what’s on the Rotier’s menu and see which is best for your lunch or dinner today:

They transformed their parking lot into the Belcourt Drive-In!

For starters, they have done it weekly, on Fri, Sat and Sun nights — and will add nights if and when they can.

Given the unique challenges of these times, we’ll need your help to ensure that the Belcourt Drive-In is both fun and safe movie-watching experience for all.

Please review the Belcourt Drive-In procedures and policies very carefully — and look over our list of Frequently Asked Questions — so you’ll know what to expect.

ABOUT TICKETS AND CAPACITY
Tickets will be sold on a per-vehicle basis, and each drive-in screening will be limited to 34 vehicles. Tickets are $25/vehicle for Belcourt members and $30/vehicle for non-members.

This Weekend’s Schedule:

FRI, OCT 23 AT 6:45 PM ERASERHEAD

In David Lynch’s nightmarish first feature, Henry Spencer (Jack Nance) struggles to surmount his darkest fears and the dismal surreality of a suffocating industrial dreamscape after a shotgun wedding and the birth of his newborn mutant offspring.

FRI, OCT 23 AT 9:30 PM GET OUT

Chris and his girlfriend Rose head upstate to visit her parents for the weekend. At first, Chris reads their overly accommodating behavior as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter’s interracial relationship, but a cascade of disturbing discoveries awaken him to an unimaginable truth.

SAT, OCT 24 AT 6:30 PM, 9:30 PM PSYCHO

Secretary Marion Crane is on the lam after embezzling $40,000 from her employer’s client. SUN, OCT 25 AT 6:45 PM NIGHT OF THE COMET

The burden of civilization falls upon two resourceful L.A. sisters when the return of an ancient comet renders the majority of life on earth either piles of dust or insane, flesh-starved ghouls. A quintessential American apocalypse that reunites EATING RAOUL costars Mary Woronov and Robert Beltran.

SUN, OCT 25 AT 9:30 PM

NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD George A. Romero’s claustrophobic vision of a late-sixties America literally tearing itself apart rewrote the rules of the horror genre, combining gruesome gore with acute social commentary while quietly breaking ground by casting Black actor Duane Jones in the lead role. 4K Restoration

Vote Early! Know what to do.

0

Prior to most elections, Nashville offers multiple locations across our county where registered Davidson County voters may cast their ballots early. The Early Voting period begins twenty (20) days before an election and typically ends five (5) days before Election Day. You may choose a location convenient to work or home – there are no assigned locations. Early Voting sites are open during the day, some evenings, and on Saturday.

Waits (if any) are usually shorter than on Election Day, and if you need to update your address, the process may be completed more quickly than on Election Day.

Early Voting Schedule, November 3, 2020 Election

If convenience is important to you, consider Early Voting the next time you go to the polls. Click here for full information

On Election Day, you must vote at your assigned polling location.

Use the Polling Place Finder to identify your assigned Election Day polling location.

It’s easy! Just enter your address in the search window or click on the map.

Note: If you are a registered Davidson County voter and you have moved within our county, but not updated your address, you must go to your new voting location on Election Day to change your address and vote.
