The Americana Music Association® works closely with those in the industry, whether artists, labels, radio stations, retailers, print media, festivals, agents, publishers, etc. to help organize and build the infrastructure necessary for the genre to achieve success both creatively and financially. - Thursday September 13th at 5pm-Western Canada is known for cold winters and hot music but is no stranger to the joys of a summer afternoon backyard BBQ party. BreakOut West brings a stellar presentation of new music plus beer, food trucks, and a dose of East Nashville attitude to the backyard at The Groove. Performers include Belle Plaine, Mariel Buckley, and The Small Glories. Free public entry.
- Friday September 14th at 5pm- Bloodshot Records returns to the finest backyard in East Nashville, behind The Groove record store, for the third annual Backyard Bash! Join us at this free party for performances by both Bloodshot icons (The Bottle Rockets, Robbie Fulks & Linda Gail Lewis, Luke Winslow-King) and newcomers (Ruby Boots and Vandoliers) alike, plus beer from Lagunitas, instrument giveaways from Recording King, and Southwestern grub from The Rolling Feast food truck. If you’ve ever been to our legendary parties at Yard Dog during SXSW, this is its Tennessee cousin. Free public entry.
- Saturday, September 15th 12pm-6pm- The Bootleg BBQ returns to The Groove with another killer line-up of UK and US acts. This great event has a history of hosting break-out shows from Sturgill Simpson to Yola Carter, and this year we bring you another exceptional year of talent. Hosted by broadcaster Baylen Leonard, the line-up includes Worry Dolls, Ida Mae, John Smith, William The Conqueror, The Wandering Hearts and Aaron Lee Tasjan. The event is brought to you by British Underground in association with AMA-UK and The Bluegrass Situation and is supported by Arts Council England and the PRS Foundation. Free public entry.
