Introducing Edwin Lockridge of POVA!

We love Poverty & The Arts Features. This is Edwin. “Edwin Lockridge joined the POVA Artist Collective in May 2019. When asked what he enjoys most about art-making, Edwin highlights the act of creation itself saying, “Creating, creating! It places me below God but above angels.” A Nashville native, Edwin has been experiencing homelessness for the past two years spending most of his nights in local parks. Edwin is a mixed media artist with over half a century of experience. He is most excited to use the revenue generated by his art sales to reinvest in his craft. “Creating art is the closest thing I know to being God; not that I want to be God but when God created, he made me a creator.”” Want to get involved with this fantastic organization click over to their website: povertyandthearts.org
