Jess at Gift Horse Nashville is a great example of why shopping local is great. Not only is she a great resource for buying local, which she is. She also has curated a wonderful store with perfect designs and thought to give to friends and family. We recently looked around Gift Horse Nashville.
A Look Inside
From Gift Horse:
Shopping for unique, affordable gifts in East Nashville just got easier: Gift Horse — an art focused shop stocking paper goods, home goods, handmade gifts and more — is now open in the Shoppes on Fatherland.
The shop grew in part out of co owners Jessica Maloan and Andy Vastagh’s respective backgrounds in design and printmaking: Vastagh runs Nashville design and screen print company Boss Construction; Maloan — one of the local craft market Porter Flea’s cofounders — and maker behind Pine Street Makery, screen printed home goods.
Gift Horse has a prominent focus on paper goods, including art prints and greeting cards, but a broader appreciation of independent artists drives the shop’s overall aesthetic — Gift Horse’s shelves highlight an array of regional makers, including Boss Construction, Cold Gold, Pinch Pot Love, Rebecca Green Illustration, and many more.
